13 Mar Austrian Premiere: CL-final in Ultra-HD for SKY in Vienna’s “Volkstheater”
Vienna, June 3, 2017
Hundreds of soccer fans and sports, economy and culture celebrities came to Vienna’s theatre on saturday to experience the final of the UEFA Champions League in Ultra HD.
To experience the soccer highlight of the year in Ultra HD in this special ambience was a must for lots of celebrities and soccer fans. There were certainly no disappointments, even though the results might not have been satisfying for everyone.
About an hour before the starting whistle in Cardiff, the guests arrived, including prominent figures of the Austrian soccer scene such as Veli Kavlak, Emanuel Pogatetz, Michael Konsel, Alfred Tatar and many more. Together we celebrated an unforgettable night, not least because of the first-time broadcast of a soccer game in Ultra HD – and all this on a 64 square meter projection screen.
FIRST 4K-EVENT IN AUSTRIA
The exclusive guests benefited from an approximately 10 x 6 meter screen with 8 million image points – 8,294,400 to be exact – with a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. This can be translated into a 4 times higher image quality than Full HD shows. The new 4K+ flagship of Panasonic, the PT-RQ32K projector with 27,000 lumen, was used for this event.
STEINER Mediensysteme’s team led by project manager Lukas Hruby executed this exlusive premiere for SKY Austria in cooperation with the agency VICE Austria.
